"Blending 101"

~Supplies~

*PSP - any version, I use X
*B&W Tube of choice - I've used an adorable black and white fairy by artist Rebecca
Sinz,
which you can purchase at AMI. Please don't use without a license. Before you
greyscale a tube - be sure it's in the artist's TOU that this is allowed.
*Texture of Choice - I've used one from In The Name Stock & I would recommend you
look at her work before you choose another. They're amazing and her TOU are very
generous.
*Brushes of choice - I've included the ones I've made that I used, but feel free to use
any you have.
*Quote of choice - Choose this before you choose your texture because it sets the
theme for your entire tag.
*Font of choice - I've used Love, a pay font.
*My zip file - include sparkle, notepaper background, & snow owl brush (put in your brush folder).

~♥~Let's Begin~♥~
this is so easy you're going to wonder why you've never blended before, in fact you probably have

1. Open a new transparent image 650x550 - Selections - select all - c/p into your
selection your texture - select none.

2. Open your tube - grayscale if needed - c/p as a new layer resizing as needed -
change blend mode to hard light (or play with the blend modes and see what fancies
you best) - place as desired.

3. Add your quote if using one, as well as any brushes. I've used the snow owl &
sparkle brushes that I've included in my zip file and the deer which I can't share I'm
afraid. Play with your blend modes and watch your scales (sizes) on everything.
When adding a quote to a tag, you must add the person who said the quote just as
you must add your artist's copyright to a tag. It's the same thing :).

4. Once you're happy with your image - merge visible. Resize by 80% - c/p this
image onto Artmama-notepaper found in the zip file - add d/s 2, 2, 47, 6.00 with color
#1f1b18. Or you can add a frame to it, add borders, a mask - there are so many
things you can do with a blended tag that I've only touched the surface with with this
tutorial.

5. Add your name, your artist's copyright information and that is it my friends, you're
done!!
